Privacy Policy
Last updated: September 5, 2026
This Privacy Policy describes how PNW Parking ("we", "us", the "platform") and the parking lot Owners who use the platform collect, use, and protect your information when you pay for parking, dispute a charge, or interact with our service.
1. Information we collect
From drivers (parking customers):
- License plate number and state, email address, payment card details (handled by Stripe; we never see full card numbers)
- Parking session details (start/end times, duration, amount, lot)
- Device/user-agent details, IP address (hashed for analytics; raw IP is used solely for dispute evidence, as described below)
- Ticket/citation information if you are issued one
From lot owners and staff:
- Account and contact details, lot information, banking/payout details (via Stripe), enforcement staff details, payroll data
2. How we use it
- To process parking payments and issue receipts
- To provide enforcement and lot-management tools to Owners
- To prevent fraud and respond to disputes (including gathering evidence)
- To analyze usage and improve the platform
- To comply with legal and regulatory obligations
3. Dispute evidence
When a customer disputes a charge, we gather evidence to respond to the card network and the customer's bank. This evidence may include: the QR scan record, the license plate and state you entered, your payment details (payment-intent and charge IDs, card last-four, brand), your session start/end times and duration, the rate card that was shown, your receipt, and your IP address and user agent. Evidence is gathered automatically when a dispute is filed and is submitted only to Stripe (and the card network) on your behalf.
4. Sharing
We share information with: Stripe (payment processing); the payroll provider (Owner employment/contractor payments); law enforcement where required; and service providers who act for us under contract. We do not sell personal information.
5. Retention
Parking session data is retained while needed for operations, disputes, and legal compliance. License plate data and contact information are retained per the platform's PII retention window; dispute evidence is retained until the dispute is resolved. Analytics use aggregated or de-identified data where possible.
6. Your choices
You may request access to or deletion of your data, subject to legal and operational limits. Contact support with the email used for your session. Owners may manage their account and staff data from their dashboard.
7. Security
We use industry-standard measures (encrypted connections, access controls, audit logging, least-privilege access). Full payment card data is processed by Stripe; we never store card numbers.
8. Changes
We may update this Policy; material changes will be posted here with an updated date.
This is a sample template for platform onboarding. It is not legal advice. Have counsel review before production use.
